Kaunas sightseeing tour

Tour “Explore the city of Kaunas“. In the intersection of two largest rivers of Lithuania there is located a small peninsula – Kaunas Old town, where you can get in by land going through Green hill. Medieval defender of Lithuania –  Kaunas Castle- is considered as the heart of the city till nowadays. The town begun its building in the localities: there were working Franciscan brothers, Bernardinai, Jesuits, who left most beautiful and sacred buildings for this town (St. George, Vytautas and Jesuit Church). From here, the Hanseatic tradesfolks spread their trade routes. Period spent in Carine Russia and the Soviet government, also left indelible marks, which are seen to the present. The guide also will mention prints of Jewish culture as well as prints of famous people, for whom Kaunas was a home town.
